DFI Nanotechnology Completes World's First All-Glass Vapor Chamber

Diamon-Fusion International, Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and exclusive licensor of patented hydrophobic nanotechnologies, announced today the completion of the world’s first all-glass vapor chamber, constructed by DFI’s licensee Blinds Aluminum + Glass, Ltd.

The all-glass chamber utilizes the patented hydrophobic process in a proprietary nano-surface chemical vapor deposition chamber coating system designed to maximize the large scale production capabilities to apply the patented Diamon Fusion® coatings. Different from the hand-applied coatings, the chamber allows for multiple pieces to receive the uniform coating in a single application, treating BOTH sides of the surface automatically and therefore providing a more efficient process for large scale coating projects. During the chemical vapor deposition process, the nano-coating is introduced into a process chamber through vapor source and reacted at a certain temperature and pressure. The desired thin coating film is deposited onto the glass panels inside the process chamber. The thickness and composition of the coating can be controlled by the vapor concentration, temperature, and pressure. DFI has chemical vapor deposition chambers under license throughout the world, with this particular chamber being the first all-glass modular of its kind.

Founded in 1984, Blinds Aluminum & Glass Ltd, since inception, has been at the forefront of the glass and glazing market needs in Israel with the development of proprietary machinery, computer programs and systems that have enabled the company to specialize in the manufacture of curved railings, doors, windows and horizontal shutter system suitable for curved enclosures. The company has been active in the glass bending industry for nearly 20 years. Today with advanced glass bending and tempering machinery Blinds Aluminum & Glass Ltd offers its customers top quality curved glass. Through unrelenting efforts and its high level of customer service the company has developed into a worldwide supplier of architectural glazing products.

“The Diamon-Fusion® chemical vapor deposition chamber with its wide-range applications enables us to bring solutions and refinements to our product development,” commented Benjamin Wolff, Managing Director of Blinds Aluminum & Glass Ltd. “These solutions produce high-volume manufacturing capabilities, helping our company significantly reducing time to market, along with a high-quality product. Overall the CVD chamber provides significant value to our company.”

“Our patented coating system provides unmatched manufacturing efficiencies, industrial flexibility and state-of-the-art device capabilities,” stated Guillermo Seta, executive director of DFI Global Operations. “Our new partner Blinds Aluminum & Glass has fashioned a world-class glass chamber as another solid example of the company’s commitment to its innovative spirit.”
