Thermo Fisher Displays Advanced Liquid Chromatography Solutions at HPLC 2011

Thermo Fisher Scientific has declared that it will display its expanded range of chromatography products in the Dionex and Thermo Scientific stalls at HPLC 2011 for the first time after Thermo Fischer acquired Dionex. Along with other instruments, consumables, and software, the newly developed Thermo Scientific Accucore high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) column range will be displayed.

These new products along with recent launches of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments used by researchers of advanced proteomics can be viewed during the 36th international symposium on high-performance liquid phase separations and related techniques (HPLC 2011), from June 19th to 23rd at Budapest.

Thermo Scientific Accucore HPLC column, designed applying core enhanced technology using company’s vast knowledge in phase bonding and packing techniques, occupies an important place in Thermo Fisher’s line of products. With high resolution and sensitivity in columns, Accucore HPLC offers an ideal chromatography solution for laboratory work processes thereby increasing the performance. The range is compatible with mostly all instrument types.

Thermo Fisher is launching the Thermo Scientific EASY-nLC 1000 split-free nano-flow system at HPLC 2011 to favor advanced proteomics research. The system considerably increases chromatographic resolution to identify proteins and peptides using simple ultra-high pressure operation.

Further, the company will also display the newly launched systems, Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Velos Pro hybrid FTMS mass spectrometers and Thermo Scientific Velos Pro linear ion trap, which offers rapid scanning, better quantitative performance, trap-higher energy collision dissociation (HCD) and increased strength.

The Q Exactive quadrupole-Orbitrap LC-MS/MS offers high performance and can be used on a laboratory workbench. The system integrates accurate mass (HR/AM) Orbitrap mass analysis of high resolution and quadrupole precursor selection to provide superior qualitative and quantitative workflows.

Using HR/AM Quanfirmation feature, the Q Exactive mass spectrometer can detect, quantify, and validate more trace-level proteins and peptides present in complex mixtures in just a single analytical process.

The Orbitrap Elite hybrid mass spectrometer offers the sensitivity and resolution required to enhance molecular weight determination of intact proteins in laboratories. It also enables better coverage of proteome using improved protein, peptide and PTM identification, even when present in low quantities.
