NT-MDT to Conduct Workshop on Atomic Force Microscopy Technologies

NT-MDT will conduct a workshop on atomic force microscopy technologies at the Sheraton Hotel during the meeting of the Materials Research Society at the Hynes Convention Center located in Boston, Massachusetts.

The workshop will focus on quantitative and ultra-resolution visualization investigations of local surface properties using atomic force microscopy. The topics of the workshop will include atomic force microscopy, confocal Raman, nanomechanical studies, dielectric measurements and evaluation of techniques associated with kelvin force microscopy. In the workshop, various optimization processes will be discussed and studied to obtain enhanced spatial resolution and sensitivity.

The workshop will be led by NT-MDT’s Dr. Pavel Dorozhkin and Dr. Sergei Magonov. Dr. Dorozhkin, a specialist in the spectroscopy field, serves as the Head of Product Management and Applications. He has participated in over 40 global conferences and written several research papers. Dr. Magonov serves as the Head of the U.S. R&D development center of NT-MDT. He has presented 175 peer reviewed papers in the fields of scanning probe microscopy and polymer science.

The workshop will have live measurement demonstrations and lectures. These illustrations will include the advancements in metrology to be explained during the workshop. NT-MDT is a major designer and producer of scanning probe microscopes, atomic force microscopes and instrumentation utilized in the research and development of several nanotechnology related fields.
