MEMS Industry Group (MIG), an association comprising 150 companies dealing in MEMS technology, will host the MEMS Executive Congress 2012 that brings together leaders from diverse industries to interact and exchange ideas about commercialization of MEMS.
The 2012 Congress is scheduled to be held at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona from November 7 to 8. The participants will get an insight into innovative applications of MEMS and will vote on the best MEMS-enabled product. The chief economist and senior director of research of the Consumer Electronics Association, Shawn G. DuBravac will act as moderator and will also honor the chosen winner.
The future trends and growth potential of the MEMS industry will be presented by analysts from market research firms who will also elaborate on the factors impacting specific MEMS market segments. The keynote speakers of the congress are Ajith Amerasekera, IEEE and TI Fellow from the Kilby Labs at Texas Instruments and Robert Brunner, founding partner of Ammunition. Ajith Amerasekera will speak about the impact of immersive intelligent systems on various spheres of our life comprising transportation, health, security, buildings and personal life.
Robert Brunner will share his expertise in product design to highlight the interconnection between consumer experience and product design where brand identity is not merely restricted to the logo but also involves an emotional affinity on the part of the consumer towards the product. There will also be other panels that will discuss the impact and benefits of MEMS penetration into consumer products, particularly electronics, medical sciences, therapeutics and personal fitness. Another panel will also discuss the emerging trends in MEMS technology.
