"WPI High School Outreach Program: was first held in 2011 for the purpose of instilling an interest in science in middle/high school students and the general public by providing opportunities contact with the worldfs top level of science being conducted at the research centers in the WPI Program. The 1 st Outreach Program was held in Fukuoka City, Kyushu, which is the home of the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research, Kyushu University (I2CNER).

In addition to introducing research in a seminar format, the symposium will also feature a science quiz, demonstrations at booths, etc., allowing participants in the event to genjoy science, as the title suggests.
