Nanomechanics Inc., one the world’s leading provider of nano-mechanical testing equipment, will exhibit at the annual Microscopy & Microanalysis 2017 Meeting (M&M) Aug. 6 - 10, 2017. The four-day event, hosted by the Microscopy Society of America (MSA) will be held in at the America’s Center in St. Louis.
The M&M conference is the world’s largest microscopy/microanalysis instrument exhibition in the world and will host 1700 attendees that specialize in physical science, analytical science, instrumentation research and development, and biological science. Attendees will see the latest technologies, hear the latest developments in the techniques and applications of all areas of microscopy and microanalysis.
It is exciting to attend the M&M conference and see the most recent work introduced amid different talks and sessions. It gives us a real-world appreciation of where our tools are being utilized to further understand the behaviors of materials.

Nanomechanics will showcase Gemini, the world’s first commercial, isometric multi-dimensional instrument for studying the dynamics of tribology and mechanical testing at the nano-scale. This device can measure not only load and displacement but stiffness and phase angle. Gemini can measure the interaction of two objects that are sliding across each other. This has resulted in entirely new results concerning the onset of sliding between two bodies in contact.
