Innovnano manufactures a diverse range of high quality, ultra-fine nanostructured ceramic powders designed specifically for clients producing the next generation of advanced engineering products and components. Clients can expect more from their ceramics and benefit from the technical and commercial advantages that Innovnano’s enabling technology offers both established and emerging industries.
Innovnano is part of Bondalti, the largest chemical company in Portugal and an organisation with decades of invaluable expertise in the development and commercialisation of novel, efficient industrial processes. Combining this experience with extensive R&D collaborations from leading industry and university partners, Innovnano utilises its innovative industrial-scale process to produce customisable, high quality nanostructured powders with excellent physical, chemical and mechanical properties.
Innovnano’s unique Emulsion Detonation Synthesis (EDS) technology is perfectly suited to the industrial-scale production of complex technical ceramic powders. Certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) to ISO 9001 standards and operating from a new, purpose-built manufacturing technology facility, the company ensures a reliable source of nanostructured ceramic powders for advanced materials applications to meet market demand. Also, the EDS process uses feedstock precursors from sustainable sources, ensuring a reliable and economical continuity of supply, and supporting the growth of the nanotechnology industry.
Innovnano’s current portfolio of nanostructured powders and products include a range of yttria-stabilised zirconia (YSZ) powders for structural ceramics, as well as monoclinic zirconia for refractories. With guaranteed small grain sizes and high purity, these nanostructured powders enhance the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of ceramics to improve the functionality, behaviour, and value of your end-product.
Products include:
- 2YSZ 2mol% yttria stabilised zirconia – combining outstanding fracture toughness (up to 14 MPa.m0.5) with enhanced damage tolerance capabilities for improved structural ceramic performance.
- 3YSZ 3mol% yttria stabilised zirconia - high strength, enhanced fracture resistance and excellent tribological performance for physically demanding applications.
- 4YSZ 4mol% yttria stabilised zirconia – proven low thermal conductivity that makes it ideal for the production of thermal barrier coatings.
- Monoclinic zirconia - high specific surface area and exceptional sinterability to enhance the properties of refractory materials in high temperature applications.
Due to the customisable nature of their innovative process technology, the Innovnano team are always looking for new ways to utilise their unique EDS technology to help customers achieve more with their ceramics.
