High-Quality Thin Films Using the Mini-Film Maker Kit

The Mini-Film Maker available from Specac is designed to create high-quality thin films of plastic and polymer materials for infrared transmission analysis. The product allows fast and easy hot pressing of samples at temperatures ranging between ambient to 250°C to provide reproducible and constant thickness films over the range of 50 to 500µm with a formed diameter of 15mm.

The Mini-Film Maker Kit comprises the mini-film maker press with built-in digital temperature controller and heated platens, a cooling plate, a film maker assembly with film sizing rings of 50, 100, 250 and 500µm, 200 pairs of aluminium foil discs, stainless-steel tweezers (forceps), and a pack of 100 Specacards. A set of UK, US and EU Power leads are supplied as standard.
