Pre-Event Networking Program Now Open to All WBT2010 Registrants

WBTshowcase, the world's largest forum offering a prescreened, pre-prepped collection of undiscovered companies and intellectual property emanating from top universities, labs and research institutions from across the country, announced today that Pre-WBT is open to all WBT2010 registrants.

A benefit available only to early registrants, Pre-WBT is a pre-event networking program that allows WBT2010 attendees to connect and introduce themselves prior to the event.

By engaging the Pre-WBT program, early registrants will have access to VC's, Fortune 1000 licensees, federal R&D decision makers including Lockheed Martin, Hewlett-Packard Co., LG Electronics, Sevin Rosen Funds, Open Prairie Ventures, Texas Instruments, Dow Chemical Company, Austin Ventures and Battelle Ventures. Pre-WBT also provides access to the 100 licensing and investor-ready deals which are supported by NIH, DoD, DOE, US Navy, DHS, NSF, DARPA, EPA, NASA, Cornell, MIT, Texas A&M, Tufts University, Washington University, University of Pittsburgh, Louisiana State University, Oklahoma State University, Case Western, Intel, Emerging Tech Fund, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Venture Capital, Angel funds and others.

Each registrant will receive a link to the list of WBT2010 attendees. To facilitate face-to-face meetings during WBT2010, WBTshowcase has allocated centralized Pre-WBT networking areas on-site.

“Networking increases contacts and enhances ROI. We’ve taken professional socializing one step further for WBT2010 by allowing pre-registered attendees to begin the networking process well before the event,” said Amanda Radovic, Executive Director, WBTshowcase. “Pre-WBT facilitates the building of successful relationships before the first keynote kicks off.”

WBT2010 standard registration rate of $695 ends March 7, and includes access to the full two-day event including presentations by 100 vetted and mentored deals, networking receptions and dinners, panel sessions with investment and licensing pros, WBT Awards Dinner, the Top 20 Texas Emerging Tech Fund Co's, and invitation-only roundtables.

The WBTshowcase is the world’s premier showcase converging revolutionary new energy, life science and information technologies to seed limitless solutions for current market needs. WBT2010 is produced by Development Capital Networks in cooperation with National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI), National Association of Seed and Venture Funds (NASVF) and Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC).
