CNSE Organizes NanoCareer Day Program

University at Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) organized ‘NanoCareer Day’ on March 30. The program was attended by around 300 middle and high school children from several parts of New York State.

The students were exposed to nanotechnology-based job opportunities in New York and the Capital Region. They were allowed to visit the UAlbany NanoCollege and its $7 billion worth Albany NanoTech Complex.

NanoCareer Day program highlighted the necessity to encourage students’ interest in the fields of science and technology. Presentations offered by the faculty of CNSE were also part of the event. They spoke on the latest aspects of nanotechnology and its related job opportunities. Students were offered hands-on demos describing the significance of nanotechnology research and development. Their visit to the Albany NanoTech Complex made them to experience the latest devices and amenities of the nanotechnology field.
