Workshop on Systems Engineering for Micro and Nano Technologies

The Systems Engineering and Innovation Centre (SEIC), Patent DfMM, and The Centre of Excellence in Metrology for Micro and Nano Technologies (CEMMNT) are holding a unique workshop for designers, developers, engineers, product and production managers in industry that focuses on systems engineering, its benefits, and the tools that underpin this discipline.

Participants will:

  • learn to use Systems Engineering to deliver products to spec., on time and in budget
  • discover how to optimally integrate micro and nano technologies in the design process
  • try out the latest design software packages and systems engineering tools
  • obtain free problem solving surgeries with experts from industry and academia

Oral presentations will underline the benefits of optimising “Design for Manufacturing” with case study applications. The advantages of system modelling and simulation for product testing, validation and integration will be highlighted across industry sectors. Practical guidance will be provided on leveraging the benefits of systems engineering to optimally develop products and processes. Delegates will have the opportunity to evaluate and use the latest design and simulation tools available on the market. The meeting format and exhibition enables easy networking with specialists in both systems engineering and micro and nanotechnologies.

This free event is a must for any organisation seeking to improve products and processes.

Further information and registration details are available via the CEMMNT website, http://www.cemmnt.co.uk/events.php/systems-engineering-event or by contacting Carrie Dickens.
