Pilkington Activ(TM) self-cleaning glass has a microscopically thin, transparent nanoscale coating of titanium oxide permanently bonded to the surface of the glass. This coating is both hydrophilic and photocatalytic, continuously acting to prevent dust, water droplets and other deposits from lodging on the surface of the glass.
