Nanobrücken 2022: Nanomechanical Testing Conference

Charles University and Bruker are pleased to announce that Nanobrücken 2022 will take place June 8-10 in the beautiful city of Prague. Nanobrücken, Bruker’s annual Nanomechanical Testing Conference and User Meeting for international researchers and industrial leaders in nanoindentation and nanotribological testing, includes oral presentations from leading research groups, as well as live demonstrations and discussions with Bruker experts.

Attendees can expect to discover new trends in nanomechanical and nanotribological testing, listen to talks from internationally renowned scientists, view student talk and poster competitions, participate in live demonstrations and discussions with Bruker experts, and network with peers during nightly social events.

Please download the abstract template, update with your information, then submit using the abstract submission form. Abstracts may also be submitted when registering.

Oral Presentation Guidelines

The workshop prefers that you use your own laptop computer. However, bringing a backup of your
presentation file on a memory stick is recommended.

  • Student talks are 12 minutes in length, with an additional 3 minutes for discussion.
  • Contributed talks are 15 minutes in length, with an additional 5 minutes for discussion.
  • Invited talks are 25 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for discussion.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

Posters should be prepared in A0 portrait format; stands and pins will be provided.

About the Nanobrücken Conference

The 12th annual Nanobrücken nanomechanical conference will feature oral presentations from leading research groups as well as practical workshops/tutorials and a student/researcher poster competition. Conference programming is open to all aspects of nanomechanical and nanotribological testing, including biomechanical, in-situ experimentation, and theory/simulation.

Topics include:

  • Advanced nanoindentation and associated techniques;
  • Testing in extreme environments;
  • In-situ testing in SEM/TEM;
  • Nanomechanical and nanotribological testing theory/simulation; and 
  • Biomechanical testing.

Keynote Speaker: Prof. Eduard Arzt

We are honored to announce Professor Eduard Arzt as this year’s keynote speaker. Professor Arzt is a distinguished expert who has worked in numerous fields of materials science. His current research focus lies on the synthesis and characterization of bio-inspired adhesive surfaces and their commercialization in robotics and automation.
