Environmental, Health, Regulatory and Educational Issues Regarding Nanotechnology in NSW, Australia, Inquiry Begins With a Call for Submissions

The Legislative Council’s Standing Committee on State Development is conducting an inquiry into the current and potential future applications of nanotechnology in New South Wales and the related environmental, health, regulatory and educational issues of this significant and growing area of research and development.

The Committee invites public participation in the inquiry process. Written submissions addressing the terms of reference can be emailed to [email protected], lodged via the Committee’s website at www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/statedevelopment, or hardcopies mailed to: The Director, Simon Johnston, Legislative Council, Parliament House, Macquarie Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.

The Committee will consider requests that a submission remain confidential and not be released to the public.

The closing date for written submissions is 28 March 2008.
