Join Hands in R+D of Superconducting Magnet Technology

Dr. WANG Yifang, Deputy Director of the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) singed a strategic cooperation agreement with the State High-tech Industry Development Zone, Shandong Province on December 10th.

A superconducting magnet technology center was jointly set up by IHEP and the High-tech Zone in Weifang City, Shandong Province.

The Center aims to promote the development and application of superconducting magnet technology, in the immediate future it will focus on the R & D of superconducting magnet separator, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system and sewage disposal system with superconducting magnet technology.

Present at the signing ceremony were officials from the Weifang City, including the city mayor who expressed strong support for the cooperation.
