A nanoparticle-based GO2 additive of diesel fuel from Cerion Energy has been displayed by ECOsuperyacht in an exhibition at METS this year. ECOsuperyacht, a European distributor of the additive in the yachting market, received the most eco-friendly product award in the DAME Awards, 2011.
Cerion Energy’s GO2 diesel fuel additive
GO2 is an advanced combustion additive, which improves efficiency of fuel and reduces exhausts from all kinds of marine diesel engines. By mixing the GO2 additive with the diesel fuel, a reduction of 30-40% soot, 20-40% of harmful CO2 exhaust, 8-14% of fuel consumption and 50-70% of fuel odor can be achieved. The effect of yacht engines on the atmosphere can be rapidly decreased by the owners using the GO2 additive. The re-distribution and contribution of oxygen in the combustion chamber is performed by the nanoparticles in GO2, which enables increase in the combustion rate.
ECOsuperyacht supplies GO2 fuel additive in Europe and Cerion energy supplies in Caribbean and North America.
Bruce Brown, Cerion Energy’s Vice President of yacht sales said that the company is pleased by the rapid acceptance of the GO2 fuel additives in the yachting market. Brown added that since the GO2 product was developed by expert material scientists across the world, the additive has superior quality. Brown also said that the most eco-friendly product award from DAME Awards adds value to the product in the market. Brown stated the company is thankful to the judges and industries who have accepted the GO2 diesel fuel additive.
In the Superyacht Pavilion, a group from its European distributor, ECO superyacht will reply to questions and explain how GO2 saves the environment and minimizes cost. The working and benefits of GO2 will be explained by the group an interactive exhibit.
