NY NanoBusiness Alliance President to Adress Livingston Nanotechnology Conference

The New York NanoBusiness Alliance today announced that President Vincent Caprio will address a group of top executives, active investors and government leaders at the fourth annual Axiom Capital Management "Livingston Nanotechnology Conference," being held on December 8 and 9 at the Marriott Financial Center in downtown New York City.

Mr. Caprio will lead an esteemed group of legal professionals from Foley, Arnold & Porter, Woodcock & Washburn, and Crowell & Moorning as they address a view of Nanotechnology "From America's Top Legal Minds," on Monday, December 8th at 4 p.m.

"Over the past four years, Scott Livingston transformed his Livingston Nanotechnology Conference from an intimate gathering of early adopters to what many now consider to be the industry's premier event focused on nanotechnology and investing," Caprio commented. "I'm proud to have the opportunity to once again address Scott's blue-chip gathering of innovators and investors."

As the business and political climates have shifted significantly since last year's conference, The Livingston Nanotechnology Conference will take a look at these radical changes by exploring the question "Now What?" Topics to be addressed include:

  • Oil prices have taken a full trip from about $60 to around $140 and back - now what?
  • There will be a new administration in Washington - now what?
  • The stock market has plummeted and investors are more risk averse than ever - now what?
  • Major investment banks, hedge funds and private equity firms have disappeared or are going through major changes - now what?
  • Advances in nanotechnology have driven performance in cleantech, green business, life science, electronics and more - now what?

In addition to the conferences, the event features a number of high-value networking opportunities and special events, including an off-site tour of Brookhaven Labs on Long Island, which will include a review of Functional Nanomaterials and the Realistic Heavy Ion Collider.

"With participating companies representing such areas as infrastructure, cleantech, green buildings, healthcare, energy and water, The Livingston Nanotechnology Conference will present attendees with an up-to-the-minute view of the opportunities that nanotech has to positively transform our world," Caprio concluded. "I'm looking forward to meeting with all of the events' participants to explore how we can collaboratively turn these opportunities into reality."
