mPhase Technologies,
Inc. today announced that it is participating in the NTI Nanotechnology
Conference 2008: From Discovery to Commercialization. Organized by the Nanotechnology
Institute(TM) and Nanobusiness Alliance, and encompassing the nanotechnology
community in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware region, the conference
is focused on nanotechnology developments in the key sectors of biomedicine
and energy, overcoming key obstacles to commercialization (manufacturing, intellectual
property, and finance); and key regional and national policy issues.
It will be held on Tuesday, October 28, from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm at the Chemical
Heritage Foundation, 315 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106-2702. It is
open to the public, but registration is required (https://bftp-sep.ticketleap.com/).
Dr. Fred Allen, President and CEO of mPhase's wholly owned subsidiary AlwaysReady,
Inc., is an invited panelist on the Manufacturing Panel at 11:30 AM. mPhase/AlwaysReady
is currently developing products based on its Smart NanoBattery, with its proprietary
superhydrophobic and electrowettable membrane, as well as a manually activated
reserve battery with a breakable separator for an emergency flashlight application.
Said mPhase CEO Ron Durando, "We are excited to be participating in the
regional NTI Discovery to Commercialization conference to show the rapid progress
we have made in developing our Smart NanoBattery and to emphasize that we are
now planning the manufacturing phase of our product evolution."
