Cambridge NanoTech, the world leader in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), today announced that Founder and CEO Dr. Jill S. Becker is a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2010 Award in New England.

According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Dr. Becker was selected as a finalist from nearly 80 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 24, 2010 at the Boston Renaissance Waterfront Hotel.

"I'm honored to be recognized among the impressive roster of finalists by Ernst & Young for this prestigious award," said Dr. Becker. "This achievement would not have been possible without the extraordinary team at Cambridge NanoTech, who are equally committed to bringing ALD to the forefront of materials research and manufacturing. Cambridge NanoTech's dedication, creativity and energy are responsible for the aggressive growth that we've faced in the last seven years."

Dr. Becker founded Cambridge NanoTech in 2003 and within the first twelve months she launched her first product. Today, as a recognized leader in the ALD industry, Cambridge NanoTech has four product lines that enable cutting-edge research and high volume manufacturing. Dr. Becker's mission has been to evangelize ALD by delivering ALD systems that are economical and produce precise results. The company's ALD systems are capable of depositing ultra-thin films that are used in a wide variety of research and industrial applications. Cambridge NanoTech's manufacturing ALD systems are used in the production of semiconductors, flat panel displays, photovoltaics and solid state lighting. The research systems are used by world class scientists on five continents to study superior ALD film properties such as electrical conductivity, anti-bacterial, UV-blocking and anti-reflection.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 24th anniversary this year. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world. Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 13, 2010. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
