eBioscience Announces Commercial Launch of eFluor Organic Dyes

eBioscience Corporation, a leading global provider of innovative, high-quality cell analysis reagents, announced today the expansion of its eFluor(TM) brand with the commercial launch of the eFluor(TM) Organic Dye product line.

"We are very pleased to announce the addition of several novel organic dyes to our eFluor(TM) brand," said Todd R. Nelson Ph.D., CEO of eBioscience. "The development and commercialization of innovative, high-quality, multicolor cellular analysis research reagents remains a cornerstone of eBioscience's business," Nelson continued. "The addition of the organic dyes to our eFluor(TM) brand product line serves to both diversify our customer base and extend our reach into a rapidly growing segment of the market focused on multicolor applications."

"We are particularly excited about our ability to offer an increasing number of products, such as our eFluor(TM) 450 Organic Dye, as a replacement for Pacific Blue(R), providing our customers greater flexibility when choosing reagents for use in multicolor flow cytometry experiments," commented Tony Ward, VP Commercial Operations for eBioscience. "In addition, we are also launching a series of new APC eFluor(TM) 780 tandem conjugates that, because they have greater fluorescence intensity than competitor products, provide significant benefit to researchers designing multicolor cellular analysis experiments," Ward continued. Mike Boyer, Ph.D., eBioscience's Director of Marketing commented, "Taken together our rapidly expanding portfolio of eFluor(TM) Organic Dyes and nanocrystal reagents, when combined with our leading edge portfolio of biological content, facilitates our ability to keep eBioscience's customers at the forefront of scientific discovery."

With the launch of over 40 eFluor(TM) Organic Dye products, eBioscience Corporation is well positioned to offer to its customers an increasingly broad array of novel products that employ proprietary technologies optimized for use with standard reagents. Importantly, eFluor(TM) Organic Dyes have been designed and optimized for use with a variety of existing organic fluorochromes and nanocrystal technologies, including eBioscience's own eFluor(TM) Nanocrystals product line, and as such, provide optimal flexibility to researchers when designing multicolor experiments in the areas of flow cytometry, in vivo imaging and microscopy.
