Lab-on-a-Chip Company Opens North American Office

Lab-on-a-chip company Micronit Microfluidics has set up a North American office in San Jose, California. The office is headed by Bob Moore, who was recently appointed as Director of North America Sales, and started its activities in January 2009.

The US office covers the US and Canada customer base. Micha Mulder, CEO of Micronit Microfluidics, explains: “With our facilities in the Netherlands we always served customers all over the world. However, the long distance and time difference makes it sometimes hard to support our American clients to the same level as our European clients. The US office enables us to better serve them and to respond immediately to their questions.”

Head of the US office is Bob Moore, who was formerly the Vice President of Business Development for Silicon Border Development Corporation. Prior to that, Mr Moore had several functions in research and development as well as in sales and marketing at MEMS and semiconductor businesses such as Intel, Redwood Microsystems and DongBu/Anam. Currently, Mr Moore is also on the board of directors of MCSP (semiconductor wafer level packaging).

“We are delighted to welcome Mr Moore in our team,” says Micha Mulder. “He brings to our company an in-depth knowledge and experience in microtechnology business development. The combination of his R&D, sales and marketing experience is complementary to our dedicated team.”
