Abound Solar's AB1-Series of Photovoltaic Modules Receive UK MCS Certification

Abound Solar, a leading manufacturer of cadmium telluride thin-film photovoltaic solar modules, announced today that it has received UK MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) certification for its AB1-series of photovoltaic modules.

MCS certification enables photovoltaic systems using Abound modules to qualify for UK solar feed-in-tariffs The certification was awarded to Abound Solar following a demanding assessment of the production process and materials , and the rigor of quality controls over the manufacturing operations. Abound Solar’s modules have already received certifications under Underwriters Laboratories 1703, TÜV (IEC 61646, IEC 61730, IEC 61215) and the California Energy Comission (CEC).

“Total installed solar power capacity is growing significantly in the UK,” says Julian Hawkings, Abound Solar Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Abound Solar is very excited to be expanding to the market and expand on new and existing relationships with system integrators and project developers in the region.”
