3-Phase Linear motors provide very high speed up to 3 meters/second outstanding reliability and MTBF; they are also maintenance free and have no friction. The translation stages can handle heavy loads to 130 lbs (load 60 kg), guided by long-life recirculating bearing. Motion ranges start at 8 inches, the longest travel versions provide 32 inches. Resolution of 1 nanometer is made possible by linear incremental position sensors.
