Nano Sized Test Tubes Developed - New Technology

Researchers at the University of Nottingham have developed “nano test tubes” with a diameter of around 20 atoms.

The containers were developed by mixing melamine and a derivative of perylene. When put together these chemicals for a honeycomb type structure containing lots of small pockets that could be filled with only a few hundred atoms for use in nanotechnology experiments.
