Nanocristalline Solar Cells - New Technology

The Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne have developed nanocristalline solar cells which are much cheaper and just as effective as the silicon cells currently used to make solar energy.

The cells produce electricity by simulating the natural process of photosynthesis and have just passed a set of critical tests which could hold the key to their commercial success.
