The gold nanoparticles contained in the kit comprise a gold colloid with a carboxylic acid functionalized hydrocarbon capping agent. Packaged in distilled water. The patent-pending process used to manufacture the nanoparticles is different than the conventional citrate stabilized method and insures a uniform product with monodispersed size and shape and better surface reactivity.
