Background

Dr. Xiaomei Jiang received her Ph.D in condensed matter physics from Professor Z.V. Vardeny's group at the University of Utah in August of 2004. She did her postdoc work with Professor Zakhidov in the Nano Tech Institute at the University of Texas (Dallas) for two years afterwards.

Currently she is an assistant professor in the Physics Department at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL. Her current research interests are development of organic solar modules for Solar Windows, and integration of nanomaterials into high efficiency Solar Cells. Her recent work on organic solar array as potential power source for MEMS has raised lots of interest including reports from AIP, Reuters and Science News .
