Background

Mr. Yin Xu is currently the senior supervisor of process engineering at ULVAC Technologies, Inc. Mr. Xu's academic background covers both the Science discipline and Engineering discipline. He received his Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Dartmouth College in 1998, concentration in Bioinorganic Chemistry. He received his Master of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 1999, concentration in Process Control. His work at RPI focused on the development of realistic, robust modern control strategies for multivariable processes having parameter and processing uncertainties. He joined ULVAC in 2000 and have been working in the semiconductor industry since then. His work focuses on developing advanced plasma ashing/etching processes for leading edge semiconductor and MEMS manufacturers.
