"Acoustic Tweezers" Enable Flexible On-Chip Manipulation and Patterning of Cells Using Acoustic Waves

Manipulating tiny objects like single cells or nanosized beads often requires relatively large, unwieldy equipment, but now a system that uses sound as a tiny tweezers can be small enough to place on a chip, according to Penn State engineers.

Double-Solvent Approach Makes Electrospray Deposition Better Choice for Fabricating Organic LEDs

Electrospray-deposited polymer films can be used to make organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with better characteristics than those made from spin-coated films, according to Yutaka Yamagata of the RIKEN Center for Intellectual Property Strategies, Wako, and colleagues.
