Fab Owners Association Announces Membership Numbers Reached 63

The Fab Owners Association (FOA), the association of semiconductor device manufacturing executives and suppliers, has announced that its membership has reached 63 members with the addition of several new members. New device maker members include TriQuint and Spansion. Additionally, the FOA has acquired several new associate members: SurplusGLOBAL, Inc., Tokyo Electron America, LG Innotek, RAVE N.P., Inc. and Concept Systems Manufacturing.

“Our mantra of seeking and sharing semiconductor manufacturing efficiencies through collaboration continues to pay dividends for our member,” said L.T. Guttadauro, executive director of the FOA. “Device manufacturers are attracted by the level playing field we provide, manufacturing benchmark studies and our aggregate purchasing programs. Associate members are attracted by the growing marketing opportunities presented through their membership.”

The FOA’s device maker members are the following companies: Anadigics Inc., Atmel Corporation, Austriamicrosystems AG, Avago Technologies, Fairchild Semiconductor, Freescale Semiconductor, Infineon Technologies AG, International Rectifier, Intersil Corporation, Jazz Semiconductor, Micrel Semiconductor, Microchip Technology, ON Semiconductor, Philips Lumileds, Skyworks Solutions, Spansion LLC, SVTC Technologies, Telefunken Semiconductor, TriQuint Semiconductor, and X-FAB Texas.

FOA device-maker member companies represent approximately 1.3 million eight-inch- equivalent monthly wafer starts and approximately US$20 Billion in annual revenues.
