Hybrid Portable Solid Oxygen Fuel Cells from NDEnergy

NanoDynamics Energy, Inc. provides the Revolution™ 50H Hybrid portable solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system for applications in which weight, volume and fuel type are critical. This lightweight, 50-watt (12-volt) power system is propane-driven and will offer future compatibility with a variety of common hydrocarbon fuels including butane.

The Revolution 50H system’s micro-tubular SOFC offers integrated hydrocarbon reforming, efficiently converting chemical energy found in conventional hydrocarbon fuels into usable electrical energy. It features a unique cell-and-stack design and is microprocessor-controlled to enable load following and increased efficiency. A high thermal shock resistance facilitates rapid start and thermal cycling capabilities.

With a 150-percent overload capacity for transients and an energy density that allows for extended operating times, the Revolution 50H system is an ideal power source for recreational, military, commercial and industrial power needs including remote monitoring equipment, soldier power, advertising signage, and marine applications.
