Nanotechnology Enabled Coatings To Be Used For Power Plant Protection

Industrial Nanotech, Inc, an emerging global leader in nanotechnology, announced that a major US Power Company plans to use Industrial Nanotech’s Nansulate nanotechnology based coating to provide both corrosion protection and thermal insulation of its infrastructure. The total value of the project has not yet been determined and the project is expected to be ongoing.

“There are areas throughout the delivery system of steam to the consumer where the public is exposed to high heat surfaces which present risk of burn injury,” states Francesca Crolley, Vice President of Operations and Marketing for Industrial Nanotech, Inc. “This company is one of the largest power producers in the US, but this is a problem that power producers around the world face and are moving to mitigate in the interest of public and workplace safety. Nansulate provides them with a cost effective solution that helps them deliver energy more efficiently with less thermal loss as it travels from power plant to the consumer, reduces the risk of injury from accidental contact with pipes and equipment by lowering the surface temperature to a safe level, and increases the lifespan of the infrastructure by protecting it against corrosion. We have been actively pursuing the workplace safety sector of the industrial marketplace and consider this a milestone as we add this significant source of revenue to our diverse portfolio of markets served.”
