American Biotech Labs(R) (ABL), creator of a new class of products based on the company's patented nano-catalytic SilverSol Technology(R), today announced positive results from animal studies involving its ASAP 10 product in test mice infected with H5-N1 bird flu virus as reported in the Journal of the Science of Healing Outcomes. Additionally, the ABL reports positive results from controlled in vitro (test tube) studies in which ASAP 10 was tested against related influenza viruses.
In animal studies, test mice that had received seven days of daily prophylactic administration of ABL's ASAP 10 supplement prior to infection with the deadly H5-N1 Bird Flu virus, had double the survival rate than mice that did not receive the ASAP 10 supplement. The animal study report states, "In this study, Silver Sol from American Biotech Labs demonstrates safe beneficial and preventive activity against H5-N1 Bird Flu, when taken orally in mice. Especially of interest was the observation that 60 percent of the infected mice treated with this compound survived, compared to the 30 percent in the placebo-treated controls. This effect is suggestive that a disease-inhibitory effect may have occurred in the mice."
In vitro testing of the company's products was equally encouraging. In one test, the American Biotech Labs Silver Sol product killed or neutralized one-billion-bacteriophage virus in a test tube in 2.5 hours. In tests against Avian Influenza A H3-N2 and the Beijing Influenza A H1-N1, the American Biotech Labs ASAP 10 product killed or neutralized 96-to-98 percent of the virus in a test tube in two hours, with no measurable virus surviving 12 hours. Against Avian Influenza A H5-N1 Vietnam Hybrid, the ASAP 10 product reduced the virus in a test tube below detectable levels in six hours.
"We realize that these study findings are a preliminary, but we feel they are encouraging," said Keith Moeller, a managing director for ABL. "We know that ASAP 10 is a wonderful daily supplement to maintain good health and we look forward to gathering more data about other potential uses for the product."
