NeoPhotonics Closes Second Round of Venture Funding - News Item

More than $40 million has been raised in second round venture funding by NeoPhotonics, a developer of optical components that use nanomaterials and nano related processing.

Originally called Nanogram, the company was founded in 1996 and acquired Lightwave Microsystems in February 2003. NeoPhotonics is developing silica integrated optical circuits, modules and subsystems for broadband applications.
