Ocean Optics Introduces New SERS Nanosponge Substrate for Raman Spectroscopy Applications

Ocean Optics has introduced a new substrate for Raman spectroscopy applications. The new RAM-SERS-SP Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy substrates use a proprietary gold-silver nanosponge alloy to produce highly sensitive, trace-level Raman spectroscopy measurements.

ORNL Researchers Develop New Electron Microscopy Technique for Identifying Atomic Level Magnetic Behavior

A new electron microscopy technique created by a group of researchers from the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Uppsala University, Sweden, allows scientists to identify magnetism at the atomic level. The scientists came out with a different approach by using optical distortions that were usually eliminated.
