Danaher Corporation Appoints New Member to Board of Directors

Leica Microsystems' parent company, Danaher Corporation (NYSE:DHR), based in Washington, D.C., announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Elias A. Zerhouni, M.D. to Danaher's Board of Directors. Dr. Zerhouni's initial term expires at Danaher's 2011 annual meeting of shareholders.
