Silver Nanowire-Based Solution Provider Cambrios Technologies Expands its Manufacturing Capacity

Cambrios Technologies Corporation, the leader in silver nanowire-based solutions for the transparent conductor markets, announced that the company expanded its manufacturing capacity to enable its customers to achieve up to 15 million m2/year of ClearOhm® material coated film.

During the past 12 months, Cambrios has received significant market traction for ClearOhm material, shipping products into applications including mobile phones, tablets, monitors, All-In-One (AIO) computers and more. The company also won the inaugural Envisioneering’s Innovation and Design Award 2014 at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2014).

Strengthening its talented team, Cambrios appointed Robert Bagheri to senior vice president of operations and quality, based in the company’s Sunnyvale, Calif., headquarters. With more than 30 years of experience, Bagheri will be responsible for the manufacturing operations, quality and product engineering functions at Cambrios. In this role, Bagheri will further expand manufacturing and strengthen the company’s supply chain globally.

“This year promises to be another impressive one for the Cambrios team. In 2013 we shipped enough ClearOhm material to enable hundreds of thousands of devices to be shipped to the market in partnership with several tier one vendors across the globe,” said John LeMoncheck, president and CEO at Cambrios Technologies. “Adding Robert Bagheri to our team further strengthens Cambrios’ expertise by bringing years of manufacturing and operations knowledge. In 2014, Cambrios looks to increase its footprint as the industry’s No. 1 ITO replacement and we are pleased that Robert will help us achieve this.”

“During the past 10 years, Cambrios has become the world leader in developing and delivering its silver nanowire-based technology, ClearOhm material. The company now is witnessing a rapid growth in demand for ClearOhm material from leading technology vendors across the globe,” said Robert Bagheri, senior vice president of operations and quality at Cambrios Technologies. “Cambrios is building a world class manufacturing and quality organization that can scale in pace with the growth of both new and existing tier one customers in 2014. I’m honored to have joined such a talented team.”
