Lighter and Stronger Nanotechnology Enabled Surfboard Hits The Waves in Hawaii

The board from Oceanit looks and feels like a standard surfboard and is made using traditional methods with a foam core, polymer resin and fibreglass cloth. The difference is the resin has an addition of titanium nanoparticles.

The result of the dispersion of titanium nanoparticles is that the nanotech board is only half as succeptible to damage (known as a dings) and three times less likely to break. All this without flexibility or weight compromise.
