Valerie C. Moore Will Lead World's Premiere Nanotechnology Accelerator

Valerie C. Moore, PhD has been appointed Executive Director of the Nano World Headquarters. Dr. Moore is a preeminent expert in the field of nanotechnology and has spent the past seven years researching and promoting nanotechnology in the Houston area. Notably, she was mentored by Dr. Richard E. Smalley, Nobel Laureate from Rice University, who worked with her on doctoral research focusing on the application of nanotechnology in materials, energy and medicine. Dr. Moore has applied her expertise at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, NASA's Johnson Space Center, The Texas Heart Institute, and the Smalley Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology.

The Nano World Headquarters, located in Houston, TX, will serve as the leading center for scientific nanotechnology collaboration and as an accelerator for start-up companies, offering a centralized intellectual hub and a state-of-the-art shared equipment facility.
