Former executive vice president of the New Jersey Nanotechnology Consortium, Ellery Buchanan, has founded NanoVance Inc. in Austin, Texas. His company charges a fee to connect nanotechnology researchers or startup companies with the developers of products.

Buchanan plans to further strengthen the nanotechnology industry in Texas by tapping into local companies that can manufacture nanotech devices ranging from sensors to micro-electro-mechanical systems.
