Merrill Lynch Overhauls Fledgling Nanotechnology Index - News Item

Merrill Lynch & Co. has already overhauled its two week old nanotechnology index with six companies dropped from the index.

Nanometrics, Three Five Systems and Universal Display were dropped for not being primarily nanotech related. Applied Films, Caliper Life Sciences and Emcore were also dropped. Last week Cabot Microelectronics was dropped and Cabot Corp. added.

CombiMatrix, Novavax and Tegal were added to the index.
