Princeton Engineers Develop New Type of Laser for Medical Applications

A Princeton-led team of researchers has discovered an entirely new mechanism for making common electronic materials emit laser beams. Scientists from the EU-funded RECEPTRONICS project are turning to nature, and combining what they learn with the latest in nanotechnology, to find new ways of diagnosing cancer.
