Industrial Nanotech’s Nansulate Coatings Installed at Istanbul Textile Manufacturing Plant

Industrial Nanotech, a global nanoscience solutions and research leader and member of the U.S. Greenbuilding Council, has declared that its Turkish distributor, Kolorgen has successfully installed the company’s patented Nansulate protective and thermal insulation coatings at the Intem Triko’s textile manufacturing plant located at Istanbul.

Researchers Develop New Methods to Fabricate Thin Films of Nanoparticles

Two techniques for fabricating gold monolayers, which are thin films of nanoparticles, have been devised by scientists at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy (IPC PAS) in Warsaw. One technique is based on self-assembly, whereas the other utilizes the properties of salt solutions that are highly concentrated. Both these techniques assist in developing consistent, positively charged monolayers.

Development of Novel Tip Aids in Nanolithography and Nanomanufacturing Applications

A team of researchers at IBM Research – Zurich, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Pennsylvania has developed a nano-sized silicon carbide tip that has a wear resistance of 10,000 folds higher than that of the earlier designs, a major breakthrough in nanomanufacturing for applications such as biosensors for environment and healthcare monitoring.
