Carbon Nano Tube Technology to Address Oil Crisis

Next Alternative’s CEO, Robert Ireland has announced that the company is exploring deeper into Carbon Nano Tube (CNT) technology. The company has filed for technical patents for production of an additive for Emulsion Fuel and batteries.

Rising oil prices has fueled the search for alternate sources of power. Emulsion Fuel presents a viable solution. Next Alternative has developed an Emulsion Fuel mixture at 60:40 ratio of petroleum and water and a small quantity of stabilizing additive. This additive utilizes CNT technology to develop efficient and cost-effective mixtures.

By utilizing Carbon Nano Tubes, the reserve quantity of a lead acid battery enhances six fold and that of rechargeable lithium batteries is doubled. This makes the batteries cost effective and power efficient. Ireland stated that the ongoing oil crisis makes it even more necessary to develop new technologies to solve the issues on energy. He also said that Carbon Nano Tube technology will help address the problem and is already being used in various applications.
