FutureChemistry Introduces Fully Integrated Flow Chemistry Solution

FutureChemistry, a world leading supplier in innovative instruments for chemical laboratories, launches FlowStart Evo. This product is an important evolution from FlowStart, which has made microreactor technology accessible for many chemical laboratories at universities and companies around the world. FlowStart Evo now fully integrates all functions for flow chemistry into one easy to use instrument.

Flow chemistry is a ground breaking and fast growing technology for safer and cleaner production of essential chemicals for e.g. pharmacy and food industry. Unique properties of the new instrument include a high level of ease-of-use, a smaller footprint and stand-alone capabilities, which means the instrument can be used without the need of a computer or laptop.

In FlowStart Evo, one single microreactor can function as one complete chemical factory. Small glass microreactors enable chemists to perform chemical reactions using small quantities. These reactions can later be scaled for industrial applications relatively easily.

FutureChemstry developed FlowStart Evo in cooperation with Micronit Microfluidics in Enschede, world leader in a fast growing market of glass microfluidics. Ronny van 't Oever, CEO of Micronit Microfluidics: "FlowStart Evo is the first truely easy to use small scale platform for chemists. It is an excellent example that microreactor technology now reaches an accepted and mature stage".

FlowStart Evo will be presented by Micronit Microfluidics at Booth 3D during The European Lab Automation Conference 2011, held in Hamburg, Germany, from June 30th to July 1st.

About FutureChemistry
FutureChemistry believes that flow chemistry should be used to improve the safety and efficiency of chemical processes. By making available user friendly equipment FutureChemistry brings that vision a step closer for every chemist.
