NaturalNano, a material science company manufacturing and commercializing novel nanocomposites, declared that it has received purchase orders for its Halloysite Natural Tube (HNT) that is being used as a key element in Fiabila’s nail polish products sold in Europe and in the United States.
Fiabila is a major producer of private label nail polish products. The company has placed its initial purchase orders for the fiscal year 2012 to procure NaturalNano's HNT. Recently, NaturalNano has inked an extension for an exclusive license and supply deal for three years to use its HNT in Fiabila’s nail-care products.
The Acting President and Chief Executive Officer at NaturalNano, James Wemett stated that Fiabila’s recent orders reveal the commercial success of its product line that uses the HNT technology. He added that Fiabila currently sells its nail polish products comprising HNT through major retailers in the United States, including Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart and Target, and in European markets.
Fiabila’s President, Pierre Miasnik stated that the company’s overall success relies on its relationships with pioneering companies such as NaturalNano.
NaturalNano concentrates on additive processes and technologies, including its own Pleximer that enhances the worth of industrial composites, polymers and plastics. NaturalNano licenses and/or holds 20 patents and applications connected with Halloysite nantube materials, along with the proprietary know-how for its separation and extraction techniques, derivatives and compositions.
