Gold Nanoparticle Chains Facilitate Highly Confined Light Propagation

Researchers from Singapore and Bristol in association with the Centre d'Elaboration de Matériaux et d'Etudes Structurales (CEMES, CNRS) have demonstrated the confinement of light energy to nano scale level by aligning crystalline gold nanoparticles and fusing them into long chains.
