JAIST Selects Cray XT5 Supercomputer to Accelerate Nanotechnology Research

Global supercomputer leader Cray Inc. today announced that the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) has selected the new Cray XT5 supercomputer as the main system for its high-performance computing facility. This will be the first Cray XT5 system in Japan to utilize Cray's recently introduced ECOphlex liquid-cooling technology.
