Aehr Test Systems has declared that it has obtained a procurement order for their FOX-15 WaferPak cartridge from a major communication device developer. The delivery of the cartridge is expected to be completed during the calendar year 2011.
Rhea Posedel, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aehr Test Systems, has stated that the new client will utilize their FOX-15 WaferPak cartridge to meet the criteria of the wafer level burn-in method for their equipment. He mentioned that after qualifying the wafer level burn-in process, the client will focus on production and in future, the client would need a FOX-15 system and an extra WaferPak cartridge capacity. He added that the purchase order has enabled the incorporation of the FOX technology into a communication device manufacturing segment, complimenting the FOX systems that are already deployed in memory and automotive segments.
The FOX-15 full wafer contact burn-in and test system is part of the FOX series of full wafer contact systems. The system can be ideally used for extended burn-in applications. Other products of Aehr Test's FOX series are used in complete wafer parallel test or short burn-in of products like embedded memory devices, microcontrollers and flash memory devices.
