Second Annual Graphene World Summit to take Place 4–6 November, 2015 in Spain

Smithers Apex, in association with the Graphene Stakeholders Association, is pleased to announce the second Annual Graphene World Summit taking place 04 – 06 November, 2015 in Barcelona, Spain. This conference and exhibition will focus on bringing together the scientific and business communities for technical collaboration, scientific exchange, and the successful development and commercialisation of graphene.

The programme will encompass a range of topics including researching, developing, producing, financing and investing in graphene and graphene-enabled applications such as 3D printing.

Mark R. Anderson, Founder & CEO, Strategic News Service; Jesus de La Fuente, CEO, Graphenea; Ron Mertens, Owner and Editor, OLEDS-Info and Graphene-Info; Dr. Andrew J. Pollard, Research Scientists, National Physical Laboratory (NPL); and Stephen Waite, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, Graphene Stakeholders Association will be providing expert guidance to ensure that the issues covered at Graphene 2015 bring us closer to a global graphene commercial marketplace.

"Graphene is emerging as one of the most promising materials ever discovered - one that has the potential to play a vital role in the development of advanced technologies in key industry segments, including computing, electronics, energy, defense, health care, telecommunications, and transportation,” said Waite of the Graphene Stakeholders Association. “Our members are ramping up a number of activities, particularly related to additive manufacturing and 3D printing and we’re thrilled to discuss this exciting trend!”

“Due to the success of the inaugural Graphene World Summit held in Berkeley, CA last September, and a large pool of interested stakeholders in Europe, we are thrilled to bring an expanded Graphene World Summit to Barcelona! This event will bring together a global network of raw material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, producers, end-users, theoretical and applied researchers to explore standarisation and commercialisation,” said DeAna Morgan, conference producer for Smithers Apex.

“We have expanded the format of the conference this year to include a half day-pre-conference workshop on 04 November, focusing on Printing with 2D Materials. Additive manufacturing and 3D printing represent major opportunities to innovate the graphene-enabled technologies in the marketplace and we know attendees will find this to be a valuable addition! We then explore all aspects of the graphene community with two full days of talks, workshops and networking sessions from the world’s foremost researchers and business executives.”
